Wombwell Men “In The Wars”

Second Lt Marcus J Whitehead (Yorkshire Regiment) (top left) of Milton place, Sheffield, former Wombwell, is in hospital in France with severe injuries to the leg.

About a year ago his brother Lt Edwin Whitehead (York and Lancaster)(top right) was severely wounded, but he recovered and is again in the trenches
