Two Serving 

Mr. and Mrs. J. Pearce, of 13, Collindridge Road, Wombwell, whose son-in-law, Sergt. T. E. Bisby, R.A.F., has won the C.G.M. have two sons serving in North Africa. They are Pte. Sydney Pearce (28), R.E.M.E., and Arnold Pearce (22), R.A.F. Both are old boys of King’s Road Council School, Wombwell.  

Sydney joined up in 1940 and went abroad in November last year. In his letters he says he enjoys the life and appreciates the opportunity of regular sea bathing in the Mediterranean.  

Arnold Pearce enlisted in September, 1941. Prior to that he had travelled about the country as a singer with Jan Rolfini’s Band. He now has the opportunity of entertaining the troops in North Africa where he has been stationed about six weeks.
