Hardened Warrior

Pte. Edward White (23), son of Mr. and the late Mrs. White, of 12, Cliffs Road, Brampton, is in India.

Educated at Brampton Ellis School, before joining up five years ago he was employed at Mitchell Main Colliery.

He has seen service at Tobruk, Greece and Crete, and was reported missing during the evacuation.
