Taking Ammunition to The Trenches

Lance Corporal H Waring (Scottish borderers) of 56 Spring Gardens, Wombwell, has been awarded the Military Medal for bravery, whilst taking ammunition up to the trenches under heavy fire.

He is 26 years of age, and has served two years and three months at the front.

He was employed previous to enlistment at the Dearne Valley College.
