Corporal Swann of 7, Rimmington road, Wombwell, was wounded in the right arm by a shell on July 25, and unfortunately it has been necessary to amputate the arm above the elbow.

He is at present in hospital in France, making fairly good progress.

He went to the Front in January, 191’7.
