Private Harry Rowe , 17, Milton Street, Shipcroft, Wombwell, was killed in action in France on April 11. He enlisted in September, 1914, and before going to France saw service in Egypt with the 1st Barnsley Battalion.

Before enlistment he worked at the Dearne Valley Colliery.
