Private Harry Rowe , 17, Milton Street, Shipcroft, Wombwell, was killed in action in France on April 11. He enlisted in September, 1914, and before going to France saw service in Egypt with the 1^st Barnsley Battalion.

Before enlistment he worked at the Dearne Valley Colliery.
