Soldier – Nutt G.A. – First Militia

Sergeant G. A. Nutt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Nutt, of Hall Street, Wombwell, married Miss Florence Davies, of Blacker Hill at Worsboro’ Church on Christmas Eve.

He was called up with the FirstĀ  Militia, and joined the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment, in which he served six months. He was transferred to the Gloucestershire Regiment, and gained the rank of sergeant.

He was a joiner before being called up.
