Soldier – Martin H. – In Hospital with Fever

Pte. H. Martin, of the R.A.M.C., 11, Ings Rd., Wombwell, is in hospital in Wynberg, South Africa, with fever.

He enlisted in. Feb., 191,5, being then employed at the Darfield Main Colliery. He was a qualified this ambulance man before enlistment.

He went out to Gallipoli in Aug., 1915, and after the evacuation served on a hospital ship based on Malta. Later he served in an Alexandria hospital, and from there was drafted to East Africa, where he has twice been attacked by malaria and once by dysentery. He is reported to be making favourable progress.

His wife and two this children live in Wombwell.
