Royal Scots,
Corporal Hanby, son of Mr. William Hanby,-91 Broomhill, has been awarded the Military Medal for conspicuous bravery during recent fighting in Flanders.
He enlisted soon after the outbreak of war, and has served in Egypt and Macedonia, as well as in France.
In one of his trips across the Mediterranean he was torpedoed. He went to France for a second time twelve months ago, and has since taken part in most of the heavy fighting on the British front.
