Soldier – Drabble, Frank – Killed in Severe Fighting

Mexborough and Swinton Times November 9, 1918

Pte. Frank Drabble, son ,of Mr. and Mrs. Drabble, 146, Hough Lane, Wombwell, was killed in action in France on the 20th October.

He joined the Army in April. He was killed at the end of a day of very severe fighting.

He was well known and respected in Wombwell.
