Private Costella, who lived with his sister, Mrs. Stoyles, 17, Queen St., New Scarbro’, Wombwell, was killed in action in France on Oct. 9.

He was 20 years of age, and enlisted last April, going to France in August.

Before enlistment he worked at Houghton Main Colliery.
