Private George Clarke

Pte. George Clarke, 84, Concrete Cottages, Wombwell, was killed in action on October 11 after serving four years, two in Africa and two in France.

He was formerly employed at the Cortonwood Colliery. A service in his memory is to take place, at Christ Church, Brampton Bierlow, on Sunday.
