Son’s Turn Now

A veteran of the last war, Mr. Horace Carr, of 27, Preston Avenue, Jump, has tried in vain to enlist for this “spot of bother.” In the Great War, however, he was severely wounded on three occasions and is now ruled out on health grounds.

But he lass achieved the next thing in seeing his son Raymond, aged 18, step into his shoes. Raymond enlisted in June of last year in the Royal Army Service Corps and is having a good time somewhere in England—eating and sleeping well and generally getting built up.

An old boy of Brampton and Jump Schools, he has many pals who will be glad to hear that he is “doing fine.”
