Wombwell Military Medallist.

Pte. James Billington, who is home from France on a month’s leave has been awarded the Military Medal for gallant conduct.

He carried 18 wounded men out of action under heavy fire. He has been 22 months in France and has been in the Y. and L. (T) ten years; served in the South African campaign for over two years with the Manchester Regiment.
