Silver Wedding Anniversary: Mr and Mrs. Matthias
On Friday Mr. and Mrs. John Matthias, of 135, Ingsfield Lane, celebrated their silver wedding anniversary.
They were married at St. John’s Church, Pemberton, Lancs, on May 20th 1907. Both are natives of the Pemberton district.
They moved into Yorkshire twelve years ago and lived at Thurnscoe and Wombwell till nearly four years ago, when they took up their present residence.
Mr. Matthias, who has been employed in collieries all his working life, is now at Wath Main. He is 52 years old and his wife is 53.
Before her marriage, Mrs Matthias worked in the mills as a weaver and reeler.
