“She Stooped to Conquer” at Wombwell

Those who know the Congregational School will suppose that the play “She Stoops to Conquer” will be produced under close limitations. That was my impression, until Mr. Rex Bamford, the producer, remarked “You wait and see.”

It augurs well for the development of the amateur dramatic movement in Wombwell that at the head of it is such a keen student as Mr. Rex Bamford, who is secretary of the South Yorkshire Drama Federation and secretary of the Sheffield Division of the Northern Community Drama Association.

Tickets for “She Stoops to Conquer” may be obtained from Mr. Bamford. High Street, Wombwell, or any member of the Society, at ls. and ls. 6d. The Wombwell Thespians are to follow shortly with “John Glayde’s Honour.”
