Samuel Fisher (30), miner, 21. Milton  Street, Wombwell, was admitted to  Barnsley Beckett Hospital on Saturday  with serious injuries sustained in road  accident near the Guide Post Inn,  Wombwell.

Fisher was knocked down by a motor vehicle.
