Ringing The Bell

Norman Adey, Shipcroft’s sharp-shooting centre-forward, is bound to attract the attention of football ‘scouts’ sooner or later. This lad is ringing the bell more frequently than any other player in local junior football.

This season he has to his credit 40 goals — some of them with Kilnhurst and the remainder with Shipcroft United. His best run was 16 in four matches and his best day’s work five in one match.

Adey is 21 and strongly built. He is a great worrier and a snappy opportunist.
