Record profits for Wombwell Foundry
Among the relatively small capitalised industrial undertakings that have consistently good earnings and dividend record during its career is Wombwell Foundry and Engineering.
From the results now hand it is evident the 12 months to 31 July was another record year, both as regards production and profits.
After expenses, but before taxation, profit was £41,596, against £30,846 the previous year.
Taxation liability is £17,898, against £11,746.
Final dividend is repeated at 11 ½ %, maintaining a year’s total at 17%, but more capital ranks this year, as last year the company issued 90,000 shares of two shillings at 3s 6d per share in the ratio of one for 10.
