Police Inspectors Retirement.
Valued Wombwell official.
Please Inspect the Brims has gone to a well earned retirement at his own at Watten, Caithness, Scotland after 10 years service in charge of the Wombwell Sub Division of the West Riding Police Division.
Altogether Mr brims as of 27 years in the Police Force.Joining at Wakefield, in 1894 he remained for a time at Headquarters, and was posted to the Penistone Section the same year, and remained there as a police constable until 1894, when he was transferred to Hoyland Five years later he attained the rank of Sergeant. His next move was in 1905, when he was promoted Detective Sergeant. And transferred to Divisional Headquarters, Barnsley. Here he remained until 1908 when he took up duties in the same capacity at Huddersfield.
In 1909, he returned into the Barnsley Division, was promoted Inspector, and given charge of the Wombwell Sub-Division.
It will therefore be seen that the greater park of Mr. Brimm’s police service has been spent in the Barnsley Division, and mostly in the Wombwell district.
During, and since the war he has carried out his duties in a manner that has reflected credit, not only upon that section of the Force immediately under his authority, hut upon the township of Wombwell a whole. He had a Very high sense of duty and as far as his duties would permit, was a friend of all.
