Park Street Methodist Church

Writing in the Park Street Methodist Church monthly bulletin, the Rev. A. B. Brockway says, “The whole township has been moved by the illness of Mr. E. Tune, J.P.

All echo our joy at his steady improvement, and join in our prayers for his continued progress towards recovery.”

Mr. Tune has been superintendent of the church for more than 45 years and in punctual, regular and conscientious fulfilment of the office has taken the greatest pride. He is a trustee, holds many executive positions, and has been one of the most influential supporters of the church for many years.

It will be a matter of satisfaction to Wombwell people to hear that he is gradually gaining strength, though at the beginning of the week he was still confined to bed.
