New Victim in Wombwell

On the basis of present figures, the total cases of infantile paralysis for the year will almost certainly reach 6,000 in England and Wales, says memorandum issued in the West Riding by the Ministry of Health.

A new case has been reported In Leeds, bringing the city total to 18 confirmed cases.

Four new cases have been reported to the West Riding County authority, making a total of 164.

The new cases are from Badsworth (woman of 34), Wath (baby), Wombwell (man of 39), Middlestown (baby).

The Wombwell case is the first in the town.

From Wombwell It is reported that Jump child aged 3 also has the disease.
