A Notable Thursday Player
Herman Moody, a member of the Wombwell Thursday club, broke a club record last Thursday when he scored 85 not out against Worksop Tradesmen on the Notts county cricket ground at Central Avenue in Division One of the Sugg league competition.
By this innings Moody beat the record held by Bernard Senior, who scored 77 runs in a match for the club last season.
Moody is a young player of great promise and but for business ties – his father is a proprietor of a large provision business at New Scarborough – he would no doubt be taking part in importance on Saturday afternoon cricket.
