905 Yards in Seven Hits

Scoring a total of 901 yards in seven hits, Dick Beedan (Lundhill) set up a new individual aggregate record in the South Yorkshire Nipsy league.   The previous record was a total of 802 yards by Joss Kendall of Wombwell Railway Hotel.

Beedan put up a new record in a match against Hemingfield Milton Arms. The long knock record of 162 yards is still held by G. Barker of Cottage of Content, West Melton.  West Melton Red House also hold the team aggregate record with a score of 2,846. Lundhill came near that total with a 2,649 last week-end.

This week-ends “needle” match is that between Lundhill and West Melton Red House at Red House.  These two teams jointly hold top of the league table honours with an equal number of points.  The match is scheduled for 10.30 a.m.
