Wilf Pearce’s 6 For 10

Six wickets for 10 runs by the young Mitchell Main bowler Wilf Pearce was one of the brightest cameos in Yorkshire Council Minor League cricket last week end.

Mitchell Main beat Monk Bretton by 74 to 53 and their  top scorer was Ken Clarkson with 39. Eight of the Mitchell Main wickets fell to L. Wollerton ,at a cost of 25 runs.

Helping Rawmarsh (110) to beat Wombwell (78). J. Carr took six for 37._For the winners. F. Humberstone hit 44 and K. Hiner 21. Wombwell’s George Hoyle took five for 30.
