Wombwell Main,, alter a series brilliant successes, met with their first defeat season on Saturday, their old neighbours and rivals. Mitchell’s Main, beating them remarkable game.
The Wombwell Main tail end pulled the game round in gallant manner, but, nevertheless. Mitchell’s scored easy victory.
Norman Kilner, the county man’s younger brother, alone scoring 81 not out, in which there were fewer than fourteen 4’s. He played cricket South Africa whilst serving with the K.R.R.
