daughter of the late Mr Joseph Charlesworth, Townend Farm, Wombwell.

She was a member of the Territorial Nursing Service, and was mentioned in Lord French’s first dispatch.

She is one of seven nurses who were warmly commended by the War Office for their splendid courage and devotion during the retreat from Mons.
