Matrimonial Tangle at Wombwell.
A maintenance order against Wm. Hy. Dyson, miner, of Wombwell, in favour of .a woman claiming to be his wife, was discharged yesterday at Barnsley, on the ground that her husband was alive.
Geo. Goldthorpe stated he married the woman in 1867, and she left him a few years later to live with Dyson.
Dyson admitted having lived with her for 20 years, and said he went through the form of marriage with her two years ago, believing she was a widow. He denied telling her he saw her husband’s funeral.
