Marathon Skip

These three girls took part in a skipping contest at Wombwell on Saturday, when the record of 1722 hops set up by Grace Whike (centre), of Wombwell, was challenged and beaten by Irene Adamson (right), also of Wombwell, who skipped 2646, and Kitty McHale (left), Low Valley, who reached the amazing score of 3028.

The Low Valley girl has now challenged any girl in the country who has not attained the age of 15 on the 1st of January, 1928, to skip against her.
