Loughborough and Wombwell each finish with 10 men

Loughborough Corinthians  3  Wombwell  1

Wombwell, although opposing only ten men for the major portion of the game, lost the Midland League match at Loughborough yesterday by three goals to one.

The efforts of the visitors were ragged and, apart from when Dobson scored for them in the second half, the only real danger that threatened the home  goal was the imminence of an equaliser for Wombwell when Howarth attempted to pass back to Bromage, and had to race to the goal line to rescue the ball from entering the net.

The game finished with ten a side, Dobson leaving the field in the second half.

Orton, Peberdy and Dumelow scored for Loughborough.
