Killed By Bus
Alfred Henry Nicholls (50), Park Street Wombwell, was killed in the street at Wombwell yesterday afternoon under extraordinary circumstances.
Nicholls was walking along the pavement in Barnsley Road, accompanied by his wife and another woman, when suddenly he went into the road and was knocked down and run over by a large service bus driven by Edward Carby, Edward Street, Darfield and owned by Campbelljohn and sons of Darfield.
Nicholls was an employee of Whitworth Brewery, Wath, and had been ill for three weeks
