Ilkeston 1 Wombwell 2

Wombwell won 2-1 at Ilkeston, where for a change, conditions were pleasant though the ground was heavy.

The first half was almost entirely in the home team’s favour but there was little to choose between the teams in the second.

On the play the home team should have won.

Breedon for Ilkeston and Bradford for Wombwell were the scorers in the first half. Fisher’s winning goal was well got.
