Greyhound Racing Track at Wombwell

A sketch of the proposed Greyhound Racing Track at Wombwell. The thoroughfare in the foreground is Station Lane, the road on the right leading to Darfield, and that on the left to Wombwell.

This view of the site would show in the distance Darfiold Main Colliery on the right and Mitchell Main Colliery on the left. The private road running alongside the lay-out on the right is parallel with and contiguous to the path leading to Kent Row.

The tramcars in the foreground are imaginary, but the Dearne District Light Railway Committee have powers to lay a track along this thoroughfare as far as Stoneyford Road.
