Good News at Wombwell

After weeks of anxiety Mr and Mrs Hall, 102 Park Street, Wombwell have had their worst fears dispelled concerning their son, Private Arthur Hall, 13th Canterbury rifles, New Zealand

Private Hall was officially posted as missing on August 7, but a second note received on Saturday says he has been found wounded.

Hall emigrated to New Zealand two years ago, joined the forces at Christmas.

He formerly worked at the Houghton Main colliery.
