Future of Wombwell Empire

Owner’s Statement

We are informed on behalf of Mrs. B. Campbell, owner of the Empire Theatre, Wombwell, that she has no intention of allowing the Empire to close down apart from time necessary for normal redecoration and improvement.

We are further informed negotiations are will advance for the theatre to come under new management on November 29th when Star Cinemas Ltd Ltd., at present, lessees, give up the premises on the expiry of their lease
