From Wombwell to Leeds United

Leeds United Have signed Ernest Whittam, left full-back, from Wombwell Athletic, the Yorkshire League club.

He has been watched several occasions recently, and was signed in face of competition from other League clubs.

Whittam. who Is 5 ft. 11 in. and 11 st 101b, will play in the Central League side at Blackburn on Saturday.
