Father Christmas In Wombwell.

Santa Claus arrived in modern style at the Congregational Schools, Wombwell, last night, an aeroplane landing him among group of happy children, in the centre of which was gigantic Christmas tree.

The genial old man was given warm reception, and cheers went up he began to distribute the toys. The occasion was Christmas Fayre organised by the Wombwell Congregational Church Boy Scouts as part a scheme aimed at helping those who are unable to provide Christmas joys for the kiddies.

The Scouts gave a humorous sketch Prof R Wylde gave a conjuring display, and Mrs. Outram sang.
