Engagement – Hollings, & Badger

Amateur actors and their followers would be among the many Wath and district readers who found interest in our “Engagements” column last week, when it was announced that Miss Edith Margaret Hollings, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Hollings, Hill Crest. West Melton, is to marry Mr. Arthur Philip Badger, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Badger. Dunluce, Doncaster Road, Rotherham.

Miss Hollings, who is better known as “Pearl,” has almost since her schooldays been a popular amateur actress in Wath and Wombwell.

For the last few years she has taken principal parts in the Wombwell Operatic Society’s annual productions and must be regarded as the best soubrette in the district She has also taken important roles for Wombwell Thespians and was a hit in their last production,-“Thark.”
