Drunk and Disorderly at Wombwell Station.
Frank Ward, joiner, Mexborough, was brought up at the Barneley Police Court on Monday charged with having been drunk and disorderly at Wombwell O.C.R. station on Saturday afternoon.
Detective Whitehouse, employed by the Railway Company, prosecuted.
Walter George, porter, stated that at three o’clock on the afternoon named, defendant presented himself at the booking-office window in a drunken condition. He was requested to leave the station premises, but he refused, so he was ejected. Ward came back, however, and was very disorderly. He was then handed over into the custody of the police.
The Chairman said the offence was a very serious one, and defendant would have to pay a fine of 10, and costs or 14 days.
