Degree in Zoology

Mr. Derek Golicher, (21), son of Mr. and Mrs. John Golicher, 2, Broomhead Road, Wombwell, has graduated B.Sc. with honours in Zoology at Nottingham University.

A native of Mexborough, he has lived in Wombwell since he was four, and went to Mexborough Grammar School on a County Minor Scholarship gained at Park Street Council School, Wombwell.  At Mexborough he got a County Major Scholarship to the university. He hopes to go back to the university for another year and later to take up research work.

Mr. John Golicher is an Inspector with the Yorkshire Traction Company.
