Mexborough & Swinton Times – Friday 22 April 1887

On Wednesday the Barnsley police authorities received a report relating to the death of a. collier named Thomas Bird, of Low Valley, who was injured at the Darfield Main Colliery, Wombwell, on the 10th of March.

He was sent to the Doncaster Infirmary, where he remained until the 9th inst., when he returned home, and died on Sunday.
