Crash With Lorry.
Wombwell Youth Carried 18 Yards Under Axle
Harold Turton (20), colliery engine driver, 10. West Street, Wombwell, died in the Barnsley Beckett Hospital on Saturday, from severe injuries to his chest and lungs.
It is stated that on 22 January was riding his bicycle at the junction of Wombwell road, Jump lane and Dovecliffe lane, Platts Common, when he collided with a motor-lorry driven by William Forkings (21), of Sawdon terrace, Liverpool.
It is alleged that was earned for about 18 yards under the front axle of the lorry.
