Coke-Oven Managers’
Association Chairman

At the annual meeting of the Midland Section of the Coke Oven Managers’ Association at the Victoria Hotel. Sheffield, last night. Mr Frank Cooke, Wombwell, manager of the new works of the Barnsley District Coking Company at Worsbrough, was appointed chairman for the ensuing year
In that position he succeeds Mr J Bradwell, assistant manager of the Smithy Woodworks of Mrs Newton Chambers and Co Ltd.
Before members of the Association, Mr Cooke was appointed manager of the Worsbrough Ranch on their creation about two years ago. Prior to that he was manager for the Wombwell Coke and by product Company at Wombwell Main. For several years he was member of the Wombwell Urban Council.
