The Wombwell company of the Church Lad’s Brigade have lost another useful and popular member, their base drummer, David Godridge, who has joined the army.
Godridge has been a member of the company for three years and his place in the band will be hard to fill. He is stationed at Fulford Barracks, York, and would be glad at any time to receive letters fro his old comrades.
He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Godridge, 161, Summer Lane, who have another son Leonard in the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment in India.
In a note in the parish magazine a C.L.B. correspondent wishes David Godridge, good luck in the name of the company.
