Church Lads’ Brigade Camp
Members of the Wombwell Company of the Church Lads’ Brigade have their minds fixed on June 20th. On that date they will leave Wombwell for their annual camp to be held this year is North Wales. A capital site has been secured at Rhyl and the boys are delighted with the assurance that it is only two minutes from the sea with no limit to the facilities for safe bathing.
The camp will occupy a whole week, the boys returning on the following Saturday. Considerable new interest has been shown, in brigade affairs during the past few months and not the least encouraging sign in the renewed enthusiasm among the younger element.
The announcement will be welcomed by old and present members: Srgt. W. Auty, (picture) who, has been a member of the brigade and training Corps since he was ten years of age, has been promoted to the rank of Second Lieutenant.
