Can You Do It?

Steady Hand and Nerve Needed

It needs a steady hand but with a bit of luck and patience you should manage at least half a dozen. A Wombwell man has put up seven, and would probably have had eight up if someone had not breathed on them.

This probably explains the mystery of the disappearance of the new twelve-sided threepenny bits. There is a craze for standing them up on edge.

We offer this as a Christmas-tide preoccupation. You will probably find it is not so easy as it looks. You can be sure that if you get six up there is nothing wrong with your “vibrations.”

And, by the way, ask your friends how many sides there are to the new threepenny bits. The majority will say ten.
