Old Wombwell Couple to be Buried Together

Ten sons and daughters—the oldest 58 and the youngest 38 —will pay their last tributes of love and honour at the funeral at Wombwell, to-day, of Mr. John Henry Evans (80) and his wife, Mrs. Eliza Ann Evans (78). There will also be present many grandchildren.

Mr. Evans died on Wednesday of last week, and was to have been buried at Wombwell on Saturday. That morning Mrs. Evans died, and the husband’s funeral was put off so that they might be buried together in the family grave.

The family say that Mr. Evans died of a broken heart because his wife had been struck down by a fatal Illness.

The couple had been married 60 years, and had had fourteen children. Of the ten remaining, nine live Wombwell
