On Saturday Woods had as visitors, Yorkshire Traction Co. and just managed to win with the last pair at the crease.
Both sides were keen and the fielding reached a high standard. As usual bowlers were on top. Traction Co. were dismissed for 35. their highest scorer being H Pickering with 16.
As stated, Woods passed this total with the last Pair in. none of the players reaching double figures.
For Woods. Briggs had 3 wickets at par, Senior 3 for 8, and Stanger 2 for 6.
For the “‘Bus men” H. Sills had 4 for 6 and F Hughes 5 for 20.
