Borough Powers Wanted

The Wombwell and the Darfield Urban Councils met in private conference at Wombwell Friday, to consider the Wombwell Council’s proposal for an amalgamation the Wombwell and Darfield urban areas, with a possible view to application for borough powers.

The conference agreed that each Council should form a subcommittee for purpose of going more deeply into the question, and presenting a scheme to future conference.
