Parkinson for Blackpool

Blackpool have again been scouting in the Wombwell district and the result is yet another Dearne Valley Boy has gone into first class company.

Frank Parkinson has signed for Blackpool this week.

Parkinson had a trial at Mexborough before he was engaged by Wombwell  last October, and at Hough Lane has developed greatly.

He’s only 19, stands 5 foot 11, and weighs 11 stone.

His home is at Broomhill.

The Wombwell club do not benefit from his promotion as his engagement was made after May 7.
